I’ve been putting together monthly playlists featuring the tracks from Hiroshi Fujiwara’s radio program, “JUN THE CULTURE” on J-WAVE. He’s been hosting this show for ages—over 10 years including its predecessor “JUN SOUND POOL,” with more than 500 episodes under his belt! What started as a personal BGM project is growing into a massive archive of over 150 playlists and 2,500 songs.
Each playlist runs about an hour with roughly 15 tracks—the perfect length. While the selection is incredibly diverse, it’s always curated with that relaxed Saturday afternoon vibe in mind, making it a comfortable listen no matter when you hit play.
This edition covers February 2019. Please enjoy this 16-track collection from the February 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd broadcasts.

HF’s work goes far beyond street culture, spanning collaborations with luxury watches and car manufacturers. However, it’s clear that music is the common thread running through everything he does.
Note: Since his original remixes and mashups are not available on streaming services, I have included the original tracks in this playlist instead. For tracks that can be found on other platforms like YouTube, I will provide links here to complete the collection.
