I’ve compiled all the playlists that Hiroshi Fujiwara has officially published. He’s shared playlists across a variety of media and projects, and I was able to track down 12 of them. (There are likely more out there — please let me know if I’ve missed any.)
There’s a story that HF still buys music physically and doesn’t really use streaming subscription services, so perhaps putting together playlists to share privately isn’t really his thing. As a fan, I’d love it if he made playlists in the spirit of the “Hiroshi’s Kick Back” cassette tapes and CD-Rs he used to distribute to friends back in the day.
n lieu of that, there’s the book MUSIC 100+20 — a compilation of his magazine column — and the compilation CD SERENE vol.1.
And since he continues his weekly radio show, I’ll keep tuning in gratefully for that.
